On 05-01-2025, Deputy David McAlexander made a traffic stop in the 8400 block of Highway 67.
As he contacted the driver, who was identified as Ramon Martinez-Munguia, he noticed the odor of marijuana. When questioned about the odor, the driver handed Deputy McAlexander two rolled marijuana cigarettes. The driver was arrested. The passenger, identified as Marc Isauro Arteaga-Carrion, was asked to exit the vehicle so it could be searched. When Deputy McAlexander opened the trunk two one-pound vacuum sealed bags of marijuana fell to the ground. The continued search produced 114 bags of marijuana weighing a total of 126 pounds, and $2,100 in cash.
Both Ramon Martinez- Munguia and Marcal Isauro Arteaga-Carrion were charged with Possession of Marijuana Over 50 pounds and under 2,000 pounds. Their bonds were later set at $100,000 each.
