CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System is now accepting applications for its summer junior volunteer program, which offers teens a chance to explore careers in health care.
Eligible applicants must be between 14 and 18 years old, with the application deadline set for May 21.
“The summer junior volunteer program offers young people a valuable chance to contribute to their community while exploring careers in health care,” said Sherrie Parks, junior volunteer coordinator.
Junior volunteers are expected to work at least once a week for a minimum of four hours per day, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., engaging with staff, patient visitors, and other volunteers across various departments within the health system.
Approved applicants will be contacted to schedule interviews between May 7-28.
All accepted volunteers must attend an orientation on Friday, May 30.
Applications are available at the CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System information desk in the main hospital lobby at 2600 St. Michael Drive, Texarkana, TX.
