The Avery Lady Bulldogs saw their 2025 playoff run come to an end last Thursday with an 18-0 loss to the Brookeland Lady Cats in Longview.
After a postseason run that saw them knock off Avalon and then score eight runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to come back and beat Bloomburg, the Lady Bulldogs ran into a brick wall with Brookeland and their ace hurler Paige Powell.
Powell was flawless against Avery on Thursday as she tossed a perfect game against Avery and did not allow a runner to reach base in the shutout win.
