Upcoming TBGA awards banquets to recognize the state’s top ranked bucks from 2024-25
The start of another Texas deer season is still months away. Here’s a summertime teaser sure to stir those juices and get some hunters dreaming about whitetails: TBGA: The Heads are Coming Trophy mounts of some of the top bucks taken in eastern Texas during the 2024-25 hunting season will be on display from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on June 20 at the Pitser Garrison Convention Center in Lufkin as part of the Texas Wildlife Association’s Region 6 Sportsmen’s Celebration and Texas Big Game Awards hunter recognition and award ceremony.
The upcoming Region 6 banquet is dedicated to the Pineywoods ecoregion, with six more regional gatherings scheduled across the state over over the next few months. The events are open to the general public. Tickets cost $35, including dinner and a pair of drink tickets.
