Uncertainty at the future of Red River Army Depot (RRAD) has leaders voicing their support to protect the more than 80 year old installation.
In May, the Department of Defense (DoD) issued a comprehensive review of RRAD’s future operations as part of the Army Transformation Initiative (ATI) at the request of the current presidential administration.
The ATI is focused on finding ways to cut spending on outdated and stalled programs, upgrade equipment and restructure forces, Army officials said.
