DeKalb’s police chief and lieutenant have resigned their positions, leaving the city with two acting officers, officials said.
Chief Chris Atkinson submitted his resignation on Tuesday, June 17. The following day, Lt. Alexander Norman tendered his resignation as well, said Mayor Lowell Walker.
Officers Will Rhodes and Kenny Foster are the only remaining officers employed by the city. An interim chief has not been named.
