The New Boston Special Industrial Development Corporation (SIDC) and Community Development Corporation (CDC) are continuing to build a best practice base for our economic development ecosystem in our community. Recently, the following actions have been taken by our economic development boards:
•July 10th, at the 3 Boston’s Museum, from 10 am-1:45 PM, we will host the Central-Western Bowie County Economic Development Summit. We will have the following organizations that help businesses and economic development organizations: Workforce Solutions, Small Business Development Center, ARKTEX Council of Governments and Communities Unlimited. We have invited businesses, chamber members, elected officials and EDC members from Hooks, New Boston and De Kalb. TexAmericas is inviting their tenants. The goal is to provide information to our local economic ecosystem of how these organizations can assist.
•Approved $6,400 for the defense fund of Red River Army Depot.
