Investigators with the New Boston Police Department are searching for three individuals who robbed an automated teller machine at a local bank.
The robbery happened about 6 p.m. June 27 at the Cadence Bank in New Boston.
A technician told officers he was servicing the ATM when two black males jumped out of a vehicle, said NBPD Sgt. Rusty Hill. The technician was pushed to the ground and the suspects pulled the cash box from the ATM before fleeing the scene.
A third person was driving, Hill said.
The heist took about 14 seconds.
The suspects fled the scene with the cash box which contained about $22,000, Hill said.
Patrol found the vehicle, a white Mitsubishi Gallant with stolen tags abandoned a short time later, Hill said. It is being processed for evidence.
Based on video surveillance footage and interviews at the scene, Hill said the crime appeared to be planned out. Hill said he is working on digital tracking to determine if the heist is related to recent robberies in Texarkana.
Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the NBPD at 903628-3771.
