A museum organization has recently been formed to pay tribute to the history of Old Boston, Boston, New Boston, Bowie County, and the Piney Woods Region of East Texas. After a conversation between friends about ways to preserve the history of the area, a simple question posed on Facebook - “how would everybody feel about New Boston having a museum?” - is what really got the process started. The museum, appropriately named the 3 Bostons Museum, is planned to contain a variety of historical items and artifacts from the area.

Five Years Ago - 2020

A group of area high school graduates spent part of their summer working on a special project. The five young adults had planned on attending UMARMY camp. However, this year’s UMARMY was canceled, but these five didn’t let a little thing like COVID-19 stop them. With the help of their sponsor Lori Thomas and very generous donations from Boston Hardware, Blaine Epperson Lawn Care, Lowe’s Texarkana, and some great food donated by Randy’s BBQ, Wendy’s, and Margaret Sewell, the group completed home repair projects for a Wake Village woman that included paint, trim work, and porch renovation. Connor Melton and Josh Foster. Sadie Brooks, Audrey Melton, Sponsor Lori Thomas, and Jacob Sanders.
