The start of a new school year always brings changes and New Boston ISD has embraced that change with the hiring of a new staff member to handle the daily tasks of promoting the school district’s students and activities while working with the local media to ensure the district gets the coverage it deserves. The role of Public Relations Specialist for NBISD will be filled by Jasmine Cree.
Jasmine Cree is a Texarkana native and a proud 2017 graduate of Pleasant Grove High School. After high school, Cree went on to become a University of Arkansas Razorback cheerleader and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. She later served as Head Cheer Coach at Arkansas Tech University, where she completed her Master’s in Multimedia Journalism and Communications in 2023.
Since moving back to the Texarkana area, Cree has worked in marketing for several local businesses. She told the Tribune, “I have loved helping brands grow through creative storytelling and community engagement. Along the way, I’ve also served on committees for organizations close to my heart, including the Miss Texarkana Northeast Texas Pageant Board, the Junior League of Texarkana, and the Alzheimer’s Alliance Wine Festival. I’m also honored to be a part of the 2025 Leadership Texarkana class.”
