
In celebration of the first day for many area schools, Tribune reporter, Susan, visited with several students to talk to them about their first day and what the year holds for them. Here’s what they had to say …

What are you most looking forward to this school year?
“I just feel like if I want to keep going in the direction I’m going, I’ve got to keep working hard .. And with football season started, I just know I got to keep pushing myself harder than I’m used to.”

What is one piece of advice you want to give to the younger students? “Definitely figure out what you’re good at and try to excel at it ... Freshman year is when you’ve got to put in the hard work.” Presley Sparks, 12th grade, DHS
