The man arrested for killing two former local prison guards could be facing the death penalty after he was indicted by a grand jury last week.
Clyde Stephens, II, 35, went before a grand jury Thursday on charges of capital murder, two counts of murder, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and unauthorized use of a vehicle. The grand jury indicted on all counts.
The capital charge carries a punishment of death or life without parole.
