Even in the suffering

It absolutely amazes me when I intentionally send myself down a path that leads to sadness and tears and in the midst of that path the Lord speaks and says there is a different journey for me to take. Oftentimes these days I will ignore His voice and choose to dwell in the sadness, but sometimes His voice speaks so strongly that there is no choice but to listen.

As this is being written, the inner struggle is there, trying to decide whether to hold onto the overpowering grief, or to make the decision to see the light at the end of the tunnel that only He can shine.

There were a couple of conversations this week with friends who also struggle to make the same choices. One friend mourns the loss of her mama, the other the loss of normalcy. There is much cause for sadness for both of these friends, but just as there is a choice for me to make, they have those choices to make as well. The thing is, the choices have to be made every day, often even several times during the same day.
