The second annual Glow Walk drew in crowds of community members, volunteers and cancer survivors to celebrate those individuals who have fought or are fighting cancer battles. Complete with dance competitions, a memory lane for those loved ones lost to cancer, vendors, fun, and of course walking, the fundraiser this year was labeled a “glowing success.” The event had 16 participating teams and raised over $11,000 in funds to support the Let’s Battle Cancer Together Foundation in their journey to help those in our local communities. Foundation President Charlie Clark told the Tribune that this money would help at least “20-22 people this year that are currently going through cancer.”
The Token of Love ceremony where checks will be distributed will be held during the first part of November. Details will be shared when available.
