The New Boston Lady Lions started the second half of district play with a win over the host Redwater Lady Dragons Friday night.
The Lady Lions won the match in three sets by a score of 25-16, 27-25, 2515 as Lauren Richards led the way with 14 kills and 10 digs and Bo Hurst had 18 assists, seven digs and an ace from the service stripe.
Also coming up big for New Boston were Aliyah Pickens with five kills and six blocks, Ashlyn Pepper with five kills and three digs, Lydia Barrett with a trio of kills and three blocks and Azlynn Crider with 12 digs, two kills and a pair of service aces. DeKalb traveled to LE and finished the first half of district unbeaten at 6-0 but then opened the second round of district play with a loss to the Lady Hornets of Hooks.
