The district playoff picture is starting to come into focus for teams like Hooks, DeKalb and New Boston with games on the schedule for this Friday with huge implications. With Daingerfield sitting atop the district standings at 4-0 following their win over Hooks last Friday, there are three teams with just one district loss going into this week’s games.
The DeKalb Bears are in second at 3-1 followed by Hooks and New Boston at 2-1. That sets up a big game this week as New Boston will host the Hornets in a must win game for both squads.
Despite their loss to the Tigers, the Hooks Hornets scored 59 points in the game and amassed 547 total yards from scrimmage led by an all-star performance from Kavon Stiger.
