The DeKalb Lady Bears beat Liberty-Eylau on Friday in three sets and in doing so earned the first ever District Championship in volleyball for the Lady Bears.
The Lady Bears end their regular district schedule with just one loss and ranked #14th in the Texas Girls Coaches Association polls for 3-A volleyball and will head into the playoff brackets. They played a warm up game Monday night against New Diana in preparation for their Bi-District round challenge against Chapel Hill.
That game will be played in Hallsville this Thursday night at 6 p.m.
