District title still up for grabs in 3A football

District title still up for grabs in 3A football
Tribune photo by Tabitha Houchens The Redwater Dragon defense completely scorched the visiting Queen City Bulldogs offense leading the Dragons to their first win of the season by a score of 60-8.

With just two games left on the schedule for 3A-2 District 10 football it is crunch time and the New Boston Lions are the only team left with a legitimate chance to knock off the unbeaten Daingerfield Tigers.

The Lions will first have to get by Hughes Springs this Friday night in a must win game before they face the Tigers in the final week of the season.

The Lions are now 2-2 in district after their 18-14 loss to Hooks last week and the Hornets are now 3-1 and tied with DeKalb for second place. They will face the Bears in a final week showdown with huge playoff implications next week after they host the 1-7 Redwater Dragons this Friday.
