The New Boston Lady Lions won their matchup with the Lady Rabbs from Atlanta last night to claim the fourth spot in district and punch their ticket to the postseason brackets.
The hard fighting Lady Lions won the match in four sets. After losing the first set, they came back to win the next three and the match by a final score of 23-25, 26-24, 25-21, 25-18
The Lady Lions will now face off with New Diana on Thursday night in the Bi-District round of the postseason. That matchup is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in Daingerfield.
In the win over Atlanta, Lydia Barrett was a force up front with 17 kills to go along with her 10 digs and a trip of aces, and senior Bo Hurst had 25 assists and 18 digs. Lauren Richards was also strong at the net with 10 kills and 10 digs, Aliyah Pickens made the Lady Rabbs pay with seven kills and a quartet of blocks and Ashlyn Pepper made her presence known with six kills and a pair of blocks.
Also coming up big time for the Lady Lions were Na Lai Vargas with 11 assists, 16 digs and a trio of aces, Summer Graham with 10 digs and Azlynn Crider with 29 digs and three aces from the service lie.
