Bowie County Master Gardeners November ‘Meet & Greets’

Bowie County Master Gardeners November ‘Meet & Greets’

Bowie County Master Gardeners are community volunteers trained by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension in the art and science of horticulture. Members receive current, research-based training from Extension educators and industry experts. In turn, these individuals volunteer their expertise and services to help others through activities and projects in their community.

In Bowie County, Master Gardeners provide educational opportunities to the public through monthly seminars offered at Texas A&M University-Texarkana, to school children through in-school and after- school curriculum enrichment on plants and nutrition, to residents at assisted living facilities who wish to spend some time outside gardening, and to adult clients of day programs in the area. Master Gardeners also meet monthly as an organization to continue their education and discuss projects for members.

If you would like to learn more about becoming a Bowie County Master Gardener, we will be hosting 3 different ‘Meet and Greet’ opportunities in November 2025 across the county. The ‘Meet and Greets’ are informal in nature and members will be on hand to answer questions. Come have a cup of coffee with us and visit about gardening and volunteering in the community. Here are the locations and times for each event: November 12: 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at The Stained Page in Texarkana (115 Main Street) November 13: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Maud Public Library in Maud (335 Houston Drive) November 18: 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Brew Bliss in DeKalb (123 N.
