Emotions in the courtroom were high as a New Boston man was sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison for the 2024 shooting deaths of two teens.
The families of Princeton Washington, Nicholas Webster and Malaki Beckham cried as 5th District Judge Bill Miller read that a jury sentenced Beckham, 21, to life in a Texas prison for capital murder.
After deliberating for about three hours, the jury of seven men and six women said Beckham was responsible for the July 6, 2024, deaths of Washington and Webster, both 19, at the Dogwood Plaza Apartments in New Boston.
