The Bears and Hornets earned Bi-District championship last week in the first round of the playoffs while the New Boston Lions, James Bowie Pirates, and Maud Cardinals saw their playoff seasons come to an end.
The Bears went into the locker room at halftime knotted at 14 all with the Grand Saline Indians but big plays on defense and a consistent running game led them to a 30-21 win and a Bi-District championship.
The Bears will now face the Newton Eagles in the Area round with a contest scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday at Tatum.
