CPKC U.S. Holiday Train returns to Downtown Texarkana

The Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) U.S.

Holiday Train is set to return to downtown Texarkana on Sunday, November 30th, at 4:45 pm. The train will make a brief stop on W 4th Street east of Lelia Street from 4:45 pm – 5:15 pm on Sunday afternoon. Along with a bright display of Christmas cheer, the evening will feature live performances by Smash Mouth, known for their iconic hits “All Star” and “I’m a Believer” from Shrek. The celebration will also include a special performance by Canadian artist JJ Wilde.

As part of the CPKC Holiday Train’s visit, the city will be supporting a local food bank. A donation box will be available in the lobby of Texarkana, Texas City Hall to collect non-perishable food items for Harvest Regional Food Bank now through Friday, November 28th.

The following day, Texarkana will celebrate its 41st Annual Main Street Christmas Parade starting at 7:00 pm on Monday, December 1st. This year’s theme will be “Celebrating Texarkana”.

Leading up to the parade, the Texarkana Farmers’ Christmas Market will be held downtown on Monday evening, more details to come.
