Area youth ensured Community Kitchen is ready to feed homebound seniors.

Students from New Boston Independent School District as well as the Caddo Area Council of the Boy Scouts Troop 36 and Cub Scouts Den 5 collected non-perishables which were recently delivered to Community Kitchen.

Together, the youth collected more than 2,500 canned goods and other non-perishable items. “My shelves are stocked right now. And I’m here to tell you they were almost bare,” said Sue Anderson, Community Kitchen director.
