TexAmericas christens new locomotives

Several federal, state and local leaders joined with community members as TexAmericas Center (TAC) officially commissioned two locomotives to service their 12,000-acre site.

The $3.15 million locomotives replace two aging railcars that were acquired in 2021 when they purchased the railyard.

“They will allow us to expand rail service on our campus and support the next chapter of growth for our tenants, Red River Army Depot and the entire Texarkana region,” said Scott Norton, TAC executive director and CEO.
