Louis Johns Terrell, age 93, of New Boston, Texas, formally of DeKalb, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. He was born on September 24, 1932, in DeKalb, Texas to Louis and Mary Etta (Johns) Terrell.
Mr. Terrell retired from Red River Army Depot where he was a Supervisor, was a member of First United Methodist Church of DeKalb, and was a veteran of the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 58 years, Pattie Elise Terrell; and his grandson, Mason Pierce.
Left to cherish his memory is his son and daughter-in-law, Louis Jr. “Buzzy” and Kay Terrell of New Boston, Texas; his daughter and son-inlaw, Mary and Phil Harrison of Farmersville, Texas; his grandchildren, Rachel Caspari and her husband Blake, Grace Harrison, Kendall Pierce; his great grandson, Mac Little; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Graveside Services will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. at Red Bayou Cemetery – New Boston, Texas with Bro. Steve Minter officiating. There is no set Visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home – New Boston, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to be made to Red Bayou Cemetery (P.O. Box 912 – New Boston, Texas 75570).
