TOM LYNN TUTT, SR.

Tom Lynn Tutt, Sr., age 81, of New Boston, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on December 19, 2025. He was born on February 20, 1944, in DeKalb, Texas, to Ernie Linnie Tutt and Evie May Thomas Tutt.

On February 17, 1963, in New Iberia, Louisiana, Tom married the love of his life, Connie Elizabeth Lancon. Their marriage of more than sixty years was a testament to faith, devotion, and the strength of family.

Tom proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1961 to 1968, during the Vietnam War. His years of service shaped his steadfast character and deep sense of duty — values he carried throughout his life. In 1964, he joined the Masonic Lodge, where he found great purpose in brotherhood and service. He was a past Deputy Grand Marshal for the John C. Pelt Masonic Lodge in Duncanville, Texas, and served as a Past Worshipful Master, roles that reflected his leadership, honor, and dedication to helping others.

Tom’s life was built on love for his family, loyalty to his friends, and an unwavering moral compass. He took pride in his children and grandchildren, always encouraging them to live with integrity and kindness. His laughter filled every gathering, and his wisdom guided generations.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wesley Thomas and Argil Tutt; one sister, Rachael Mitchell; his beloved daughters, Melissa Mae Tutt, Lillian Marie Tutt, and Grace Tutt; and one grandson, David Scott Tutt and one granddaughter, Jody O’Clair Tutt.

Tom is survived by his devoted wife, Connie Tutt of New Boston, Texas; three sons, Tom Tutt, Jr. and wife Suellen of Mountain View, Arkansas; Michael Tutt and wife Jessica of New Boston, Texas; and Ernie Kevin Tutt and wife Bobbie of New Boston, Texas; and one daughter, Michelle Elizabeth McCarver, and husband Hunter of Texarkana, Texas; one sister, Pauline Evelyn Tutt Walker, and her husband Stacey Sr. of New Boston, Texas. He also leaves behind seventeen grandchildren: Melissa Grace Sutton, Brian Burton, Michael Paul Tutt, Jr., Dakota Lynn Tutt, Dalton McCain Tutt, Harley Joseph Tutt, James Lee White, Eli White, Micha Tutt, Tom Tutt III, Michael Wyatt Tutt, Lillian Rose Tutt, Lucas Tutt, Ashton McCarver, Braxton McCarver, and Avalynn-Alyse McCarver; as well as great-grandchildren: Hunter Jack Sutton, Riley Aaron Sutton, Kayson Tutt, Cassidy Burton, Amie Burton, Isabel Burton, Jaxson Burton, Braylon Burton, Emilie Taylor Patout, Ethan Tyler Patout, Joshua Michael Patout, Chloe Elizabeth Bertrand, and Noah Michael Bertrand.

Tom’s legacy will live on through the values he instilled and the love he shared. His family finds comfort in knowing he has been reunited with those who went before him, resting now in eternal peace.

Private graveside services were held, Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Tutt-Lancon Family Cemetery in New Boston, Texas.
