Kadence Oliver of Chandler loves the big bite, especially when a whiskered fish with a weight problem chomps down on a hapless live perch scrambling for its life. A nasty scuffle always follows once the fish feels the sting of a 6/0 J-hook, but the young lady is always game for a good fight.

The Brownsboro Intermediate 6th grader comes by her passion for wrestling heavyweight catfish naturally. She’s the daughter of William Oliver, a Lake Palestine fishing guide who pioneered the fine art of targeting fat cats with rod and reel using LiveScope technology.
