Email Phishing Scam Targeting Texarkana Residents and Businesses

The City of Texarkana, Texas has been made aware of an ongoing email phishing scam circulating in the community. While a recent social media alert was shared, the scam continues to target local residents, permit applicants, and businesses who may have contracts or ongoing work with the City. We want to ensure the public remains informed and cautious.

Some fraudulent emails are being sent from the address: planning.texarkanatexas. [email protected]. These messages may include fake invoices, requests for payment, or claims that the sender is a City employee.

This email address is NOT associated with the City of Texarkana, Texas. The City does not request payment through unofficial email addresses or through invoices that appear unsolicited or unexpected.
