A statement issued to the Tribune by SWEPCO about the upcoming forecasted winter weather this weekend reads:
"We are committed to caring for our customers no matter what the weather brings. That is why we are closely monitoring this weekend’s winter weather forecast for SWEPCO’s service territory and have comprehensive winter weather action plans in place for both our power plants and storm response in communities. Our crews in all three states are ready to respond promptly and safely to potential service interruptions and our power plants have site-specific protocols, procedures and inspections in place to ensure safe and reliable operations when winter weather strikes. We are also ensuring our employees, trucks and equipment are properly outfitted, fueled and ready to respond as needed."
