On Monday of this week we honored the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr with a national holiday.
Dr. King was a man that put action to his words and literally gave his life in the efforts of fostering a better world for all of us.
His actions and words have long inspired me and his “I have a dream” speech has to go down in the annals of history as one of the greatest pieces of oratory that were ever spoken. Other than the words written in red in most of our Bible, the words spoken by Jesus Christ, the words of Dr. King’s most famous speech are words that can be compared to words from similar impactful writings, like the Emancipation Proclamation, the Gettysburg Address and President John F. Kennedy’s inaugural speech in which he said “ask not what your country can do for you...”
