Evans out on parole after plea deal

A New Boston man has pleaded guilty to lesser charges for his part in the 2023 shooting deaths of two teens outside an apartment complex.

Rondarrius “DaeDae” Evans, 21, pleaded guilty to theft of a firearm, a state jail felony. According to his plea agreement, Evans was sentenced to 180 days to 2 years in a Texas state jail, five years probation, 240 hours of community service and court costs.

With time served, his sentence was deferred and he was released to begin probation by 5th DIstrict Judge Bill Miller.
