Texarkana College (TC) is proud to announce the renewal of its longstanding partnership with TexAmericas Center, following recent action by the TC Board of Trustees to extend lease agreements supporting both the TC@TexAmericas Center training facility and the College’s professional truck driving program. The renewed agreements ensure continued access to high-quality workforce education that supports regional industry, defense operations, and economic growth across Western Bowie County.
Texarkana College first entered into a lease with TexAmericas Center in 2011 to establish the TC@ TexAmericas Center training facility, located just outside the gates of Red River Army Depot (RRAD) in Hooks, Texas. That facility has since become a critical workforce training hub serving RRAD personnel, defense contractors, Tex-Americas Center tenants, and residents from surrounding communities including Hooks, New Boston, DeKalb, and Cass County, Texas.
The newly approved lease renews TC’s use of the training center facility for a two-year term ending January 31, 2028, with three one-year options to extend.
