DPS and Texas Rangers called to investigate in Avery

The question of who is in charge at the City of Avery being debated by council members

Conflict and confusion has arisen over who rightfully represents the City of Avery as two council members claim to hold the title of acting mayor following last month’s resignation of Alex Ackley.

The confusion is because both Connie Kedrowski and Taylor Gilreath say they are acting mayor after Ackley resigned on January 9. Ackley was elected to the position in 2018.
