A pair of Texas pro bass fishing teams banked some serious cash in the Dual Threat Team Series event held Jan. 28-30 at the St. Johns River in Palatka, Fla. Dual Threat is an all new team format offering lucrative paybacks down the line. It features a format of six, three-day events limited to 60 teams. The year- end championship is advertised to pay $250,000 to the winning team. Jace Lindsay and Fisher Anaya won the St. Johns event with a three-day total of 73.71 pounds on 15 bass. They earned $100,000. Second place finishers Pake South and Darrin Longoria weighed in 70.37. They won $20,000.
Elites, Toyota events in full swing The Bassmaster Elite Series and MLF Toyota Series circuits kicked off their 2026 tournament seasons in early February.
The top-tier Elites opened the season on Feb. 5-8 at Lake Guntersville in Alabama. The regular season continues Feb. 12-15 on Lake Martin in Alabama; March 26-29 on the Tennessee- Tombigbee Waterway; April 16-19 on the Arkansas River; May 7-10 on Lake Murray; May 14-17 on Santee Cooper Lakes; June 11-14 on Pasquotank River/ Albemarle Sound; August 13-16 on Lake Champlain; and August 27-30 on the St. Lawrence River.
