The Bowie County Master Gardeners, in conjunction with the Texas A&M Forest Service will be holding a FREE tree seedling giveaway beginning at 9:00 AM on Saturday, February 14, 2026.
Trees will be handed out at the Trailhead Park Pavilion (200 South Ellis Street) in New Boston on a firstcome, first-served basis beginning at 9:00 AM and lasting until all trees have beendistributed. It is anticipated that we will have 500 total seedlings to distribute. Scheduled varieties are: Cherrybark oak, Baldcypress, Nuttall oak, Pecan, and Shumard oak.
Participants will stay in their vehicle and be provided with a bag of up to 8 tree seedlings of assorted varieties which will be labeled. Trees are provided for up to 2 adults per vehicle.
