Maud man jailed for possession of child pornography

A cybertip led to the arrest of a Maud man for possession of child sexual abuse materials, officials said.

Clinton Albert Denton, 54, of Maud, was arrested after the Bowie County Sheriff’s Office received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The tip was reported images from a Google account which depicted multiple prepubescent females in compromising situations with an adult male, said BCSO Chief Deputy Robby McCarver.

An investigation revealed the Google account and internet protocol (IP) address belonged to Denton, McCarver added.
