For the Sake of One will be providing their biannual Trust Based Relational Intervention Training March 13-14 at Heritage Church (5801 N Kings Hwy, Texarkana, TX).
Trust-based Relational Intervention (TBRI) is an attachment-based, trauma- informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. TBRI uses Empowering Principles to address physical needs, Connecting Principles to address attachment needs, and Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors.
This is a two-day training: Friday, March 13th 6-9 PM and Saturday, March 14th 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM. You must attend both days to complete the training. We will provide snacks for the training, dinner on Friday, and lunch on Saturday. Texas and Arkansas Educators will receive 9.5 CPE hours, and social workers and counselors will receive 9.5 CEUs. The cost for the training is $35, but all foster parents, kinship caregivers, adoptive parents, and DCFS/DFPS case workers can sign up to attend the training for free.
