A Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) tri-district business outreach event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 11, 2026. The Doing Business with TxDOT event, hosted by Tx-DOT’s Atlanta, Lufkin and Tyler districts, is designed to connect small businesses in the heavy highway construction industry with TxDOT staff, prime contractors and local resource partners.
The event is scheduled to be held from 1 - 4 p.m. at the W.T. Brookshire Conference Center, Peace Room, 2000 W. Front St., Tyler, Texas. Attendees will learn about opportunities to participate in transportation projects and gain insight into working with TxDOT. Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with: TxDOT engineers from Construction and Maintenance sections across all three districts Prime contractors seeking subcontractors Small businesses and industry partners Representatives from local support organizations This collaborative event reflects TxDOT’s commitment to expanding outreach and strengthening partnerships with small and emerging businesses throughout the region. The Atlanta, Lufkin and Tyler districts cover 26 counties including Bowie, Camp, Cass, Harrison, Marion, Morris, Panola, Titus, Upshur, Angelina, Houston, Nacogdoches, Polk, Sabine, San Augustine, San Jacinto, Shelby, Trinity, Anderson, Cherokee, Gregg, Henderson, Rusk, Smith, Van Zandt and Wood counties.
