The DeKalb Bears split two last week first taking a 10-1 loss to the New Boston Lions on Tuesday and then rallying back to grab a 5-4 win over Redwater on Friday.
In the district win over the Dragons, the Bears battled back with a run in the 7th inning to tie the game at 4-4 and then pushed the winning run across the plate in the bottom of the 9th win Kason Jones scoring on a wild pitch.
Senior Walker Matteson earned the win in relief of Jake Payne as Matteson tossed three scoreless innings allowing three hits and striking out four.
