Matthew 7:7-8, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” (NKJV)

Matthew 7:7-8 will move you forward into your destiny. This verse can be broken down into three parts. You will notice that the three parts start with each of these verbs: ask, seek and knock. Then each verb is followed up by a promise. The Lord loves movement. He delights when the children of God come toward Him in pursuit of His face. God loves when His children aggressively pursue His presence.

This verse starts off with the word ask, now if you put the first letter of the three verbs you also spell the word “ASK”. This is all because God loves to communicate with His children. It all starts when we open up our mouths and speak from our heart to our loving Father. This verse is about pursuing the Lord, continually moving toward Him by asking, seeking and knocking. Many times we will find the door that God will open for us will not be opened until our hearts are ready to receive what is on the other side of the door.
