Fishin’ For Memories: A look back at some memorable fishing adventures and a good friend known as Big Bass Billy

I’ve fished lots of places and shared the casting deck with plenty of neat people since launching this gig 40 years ago. Though I’ve never made a ton of money, my mind is rich with fond memories that were hatched along the way.

I’d be lying if I said every fishing trip turns out great, because a bunch of them don’t. The truth is if you stay at it long enough, all of the stars are bound to line up sooner or later. The more you fish the better the odds of it happening more than once.

Here are few of my most memorable fishing experiences, the folks I shared them with and a few details that make them so unforgettable: The Legend of Big Bass Billy I lost one of my favorite fishing partners this past year when old age finally got the best of Billy Gene Rogers. He was 91.
