What started as a Facebook post turned into a family run restaurant offering comfort food and a hangout spot for the community.
The Cardinal Cafe in Maud is owned and operated by cousins Stephanie Ott and Denise McKillip.
”Stephanie wanted to do it first. She put a Facebook post out and said she was going to open the Cardinal Cafe. I messaged her and said, ‘Hey, do you need any help getting everything lined out, making a menu, doing any of that. I would love to help you do that,’” McKillip said.
