If you were out of town, don’t do social media, or living under a rock this past weekend, you might not be aware that there was a multi-agency manhunt in our area over the weekend.
Helicopters were in the air, dogs and law enforcement types were on the ground, and the communities were abuzz as a Red River County man decided his best course of action was to violate his probation and make a run for it.
There was a pretty intense search for the man around the Spring Hill area with residents making note that choppers were all over the place looking for the man, and it seems as if officers and deputies with Red River County, Bowie County, DeKalb and New Boston police, the Department of Public Safety, and even the new Boston K-9 officer were spending their time looking for the guy. A couple of real fine constables were also involved, and one was instrumental in his capture. If you haven’t already, you can read all about it on the front page of this issue.
