Big games are slated for this Friday and none bigger than the district finale contest between the host Hooks Lady Hornets and the DeKalb Lady Bears.
This game will determine the district championship with the ladies from Hooks holding the upper hand with their 7-0 shutout win over the Lady Bears in late March. That loss was the only district loss for DeKalb this season. At press time on Monday, the Lady Hornets also had just one district loss at the hands of the Lady Rabbs of Atlanta last week.
Expect both squads to come into the game with their ace hurlers taking the mound as starters with Kaydee Brown stepping up for the Lady Bears and Peyton Morgan coming in for the Lady Hornets.
