Do better Today

As I sit here, my fingers tapping on the keyboard, working on another book, writing my 42nd, I can’t help but reflect on the journey that has been my life. The sun is setting, casting a warm, golden glow through the window, and a blue jays are fighting for territory at my bird feeder in the yard. And summer is upon us. Almost.

I’ve been blessed with many years of writing, street ministry, and loving my family and pets. I have a new pet, by the way, Annie Grace, our third miniature schnauzer. She’s writing her own book, too. I always wanted children who’d write, now I have one. Finally.

Still, there are joys and sorrows, triumphs and trials. Beginnings and endings. I’ve seen the world change in ways I could never have imagined, and as a young girl, I was too scared to talk to anyone or make eye contact. And who would guess I’d go to the streets and share the gospel with homeless friends and those struggling to find their way? Or that I’d write books? More than one?
