The Bowie County Master Gardeners are pleased to announce an Intern Training Class for those interested in becoming a member beginning September 2022.

A Master Gardener is a person interested in gardening and horticulture. They are enthusiastic, willing to learn and to help others. They receive special training in horticulture in exchange for contributing time as volunteers in their county, working through their county’s Texas A&M AgriLife Extension office to provide horticulture-related information to their communities.

Once an Intern has completed the 50-hour training, they will join the monthly Bowie County Master Gardener meetings, participate in trainings, and volunteer service in the county and their communities. A criminal background check is required for all Texas Master Gardeners.
