Council members were sworn in and money matters were at the helm of the regular meeting of the DeKalb City Council last week.
Following a canvas and approval of all votes placed in the city election earlier this month, city judge L.D. Williamson swore in Brenda Smith and Tom Ward as council members for Place 1 and Place 2 and Lowell Walker as mayor for the city of DeKalb.
Councilwomen Molly Blackmon and Bobbie McGee were not in attendance.
