Celebrating 90 Years Young

Floyd McMillan of DeKalb will be celebrating his 90th birthday Saturday. Born May 23,1936 in Malta, where he lived until he graduated high school. After graduation, he joined the Naval Reserves, married Ida Mae Barrett McMillan and moved to the Dallas metroplex for work, settling into a career as a computer programmer. In 1987, the couple returned to DeKalb and Floyd worked at Red River Army Depot until retiring in 1998. Last year, Floyd and Ida celebrated their 70th anniversary before her passing at the age of 90. A private celebration of friends and family will be gathered to celebrate Floyd’s milestone birthday.
