“Wealth and Possessions and the Power to Enjoy Them”

Electric power is a marvelous thing. I sometimes acknowledge the value of cooling ceiling fans, humming full freezers, convenient laptop computers, functioning garage door openers, and ice-from-the-door refriger-ators. Right now, however, I really appreciate those things, because we’re one of the thousands of homes without electric power.

We’re managing just fine, thank you very much, with-out all those things but with power to vital machines from a solar powered battery backup system.

My husband is a wise man, and the days of minus 5 degrees F in February 2021 taught him that we were totally reliant on others for power and water.
